Questions, comments, and suggestions

I love receiving reader questions, comments, and suggestions for new or updated posts! It might take me a few days to respond for technical questions, or to find someone else who can help if I don’t know the answer.

I do not accept guest posts, sponsored posts, paid links, or link insertion requests. If you have a resource that is related to visual impairment or assistive technology that you would like me to share, send me an email and I’ll see if I can include it in an updated or future post.

Media requests

I’ve been featured by numerous news outlets, nonprofits, and tech companies as a subject matter expert on low vision assistive technology and alt text/image descriptions, including Microsoft, Perkins School for the Blind, The Wall Street Journal, The BBC, Mashable, and several others. Phone and web conferencing options available upon request.

I am not active on Twitter/X and do not check my direct messages often- emails are much better than DMs!

Speaking and consulting

I offer several speaking and consulting options for individuals, schools, not-for-profit organizations, and businesses, including 1:1 consulting sessions, conference speaking, keynote speaking, and special events. Popular topics include:

  • College transition and college preparation for students with visual impairments
  • Developing self-advocacy skills for students with visual impairments
  • Assistive technology for visual impairment
  • Inclusive communication and media accessibility: alt text, image descriptions, audio description
  • Designing for visual impairment (inclusive of low vision/blind)
  • Consulting for applications, websites, and emerging technologies related to low vision
  • Accessibility features in mainstream technology
  • Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) topics
  • Life With Four Eyes: growing up with visual impairment
  • What I wish I knew before starting college

Speaking and consulting services start at $50 USD per hour for a 1-hour individual call and are arranged through Veroniiiica LLC. At this time, I am only accepting requests for virtual or hybrid speaking/events.

For K-12 teachers and their visually impaired students

If you are a K-12 teacher looking to help your visually impaired student(s), I offer a limited number of free and pay-what-you-can options to help your student to thrive in the classroom. Requests are prioritized for transition-aged youth (ages 14-18) with low vision.

School project and school interview requests

I accept most student interview requests that are sent at least a week in advance- I love helping students learn more about low vision and accessibility! If possible, please provide the grade level and state/country where you are based, so I can tailor my answers accordingly and share links to local resources when possible. I typically send my responses back in a Word document within a week.

In lieu of payment, please consider making a donation to one of the projects on my DonorsChoose page (www.donorschoose.org/veron4ica), Bookshare, or a local visual impairment nonprofit of your choice.

Sharing posts, links, etc

All material on this website/blog is copyrighted. Please share the original link to the post and give credit to Veronica Lewis at Veronica With Four Eyes. Do not reprint or copy/paste full text of posts without prior written permission. Social media shares and email/listserv shares are always welcome. Thank you!

Select blog posts are reprinted on the Paths to Technology blog maintained by Perkins School for the Blind. Whenever possible, please link to the original posts on veroniiiica.com as this site contains the most recently updated version.

Sharing posts for classroom/academic purposes

Individual posts may be printed, photocopied, disseminated, distributed, etc for classroom use- I often hear from teachers who print out copies of my posts and give them to students/parents.

If you are teaching an online/hybrid class and wish to assign post(s) for an assignment, please share the original links whenever possible, as these contain the most up-to-date information.
